We are currently looking for talented and experienced Account Director.
Working in partnership with our clients and multi-talented team, the Account Director at CWA will be hands-on and lead the way with the creation of powerful, impactful and effective comms for our clients.
You’ll be managing a team of account handlers in mastering great synergy with our fabulous client teams and steering brilliant creative comms across a variety of channels, products and audiences.

What your day would like as Account Director:
Work collaboratively with our client teams to deliver a wide range of marketing projects across different channels.
Build strong relationships with our teams and all your clients
With the Director of Strategic Services, maximise opportunities to increase revenue from existing clients and take responsibility for the revenue generated by your client portfolio.
Own the execution and delivery of projects, run project-kick offs, scoping, budgeting and client satisfaction through catch ups with project owners and the weekly account/client services WIP.
Lead project managers working with you and take responsibility for the delivery, attention to detail, quality and how the relationship is built on every project and the account as a whole.
Line manage one or two Account Managers – measuring their success, holding them accountable and supporting them in their career development.
Escalate any service, quality or process issues to the leadership team where needed.
Lead and manage your projects in terms of profitability, forecasting, client budget management and tracking.
Be proactive and ambitious in new client acquisition and be actively involved in pitches to win new work/clients.
Our ideal candidate will:
Excellent people and client engagement skills with the ability to proactively organise and influence clients, building strong and effective working relationships.
Excellent account leadership skills with financial and commercial acumen, creative judgment, and the ability to think strategically.
Experience across the full range of marketing channels and the curiosity to learn about and experience new ones as they approach mainstream adoption - from OOH, paid media to email and social, starting with creative right through to final delivery.
First-rate communication and storytelling skills, in person, online, in email and on PowerPoint – with a preference for picking up the phone rather than sending an email.
Strong creative appreciation with the ability blend creativity and practicality, to spark ideas and actively contribute to our creative journey.
The confidence, empathy and pragmatism to allow you to stand up for what we think is creatively and strategically right – but recognise stakeholder demands on our client teams.
The ability to manage and develop junior team members.
The ability to effortlessly mesh with our team, forge meaningful connections and contribute substantial value.
The ambition to learn, develop and progress.
Experience of B2B/B2C, large-scale accounts requiring deep sector understanding.
5 years+ full-service agency experience; you’ll already be working at Account Director level.
The standard hours of work are 9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. We operate a 3:2 hybrid working arrangement. Thursdays and Fridays are our optional fixed days to work from home (the office remains open on Thursdays and Fridays).
Salary – Negotiable and dependent upon experience.
Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
