About this role
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Media and Communications Executive to join our team.
This is an exciting role for a motivated self‑starter, supporting content creation, social media marketing, and managing media relationships. You’ll travel for PR activations across the country and take ownership of team media monitoring. We’re looking for someone full of creative ideas who can help our clients stand out. Strong writing skills, a solid grasp of social media and emerging trends, sharp attention to detail, and an active interest in the news agenda are essential.
Supporting the Media and Communications Director and Senior Manager across a range of tasks, you’ll play a key role in the department with responsibilities that include:
Writing content such as blogs and press releases
Pitching press releases and comments to the media
Building relationships with key media contacts
Travelling to manage in-person PR activations
Helping to manage social media activity and campaigns for us and our clients, using scheduling tools
Coming up with creative ideas and helping to put them into practice to achieve communications objectives
Reporting coverage and shared progress documents
Keeping up with the news agenda – and bringing that insight to our work.
The successful candidate will have
Experience in PR, journalism, and social media and/or a degree or equivalent qualification in a PR/Marketing/Media related subject
Digital Marketing understanding with great attention to detail
Excellent copywriting skills and love to write in a variety of formats!
Demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm and the ability to multi-task
Good understanding of social media platforms and eye for future, emerging trends
Ability to work under pressure
Analytical and excellent organisation skills
Adobe photoshop experience desirable
Agency experience is desired but not essential
Paid social experience desired but not essential
Influencer management desired but not essential
