The year that was...

The year that was...

As we bid farewell to another whirlwind year, it’s time to take a stroll down memory lane. Get your popcorn ready, because this isn’t just a recap; it’s a front-row seat to the genius, the laughter and the tears that defined the advertising landscape of 2023…

Number one…

Norwich Football Club Still

Our number one is the Norwich City Football Club, #YouAreNotAlone video. Released on World Mental Health Day the video sparked an important conversation. The video was viewed tens of millions of times online and was branded incredibly powerful by the European regulating body UEFA.

Remember to check in on those around you

Number two…

Barbie Dream House

In second place we have Barbie! There’s no doubt that Barbie left a big, beautiful pink stain on 2023 that remains to this day. The Barbie movie promo wasn’t just about the film; it celebrated diversity, broke stereotypes, and gave us all a place in her universe. It was just a summer fling either, Ken came back to surprise us all this month when he dropped his very own Christmas song…

Christmas number one?

Number three…

Still from Heinz advert

Last, but certainly not least is, Heinz. It made us laugh, it made us cry, and it made me really want beans on toast. Wieden+Kennedy London created this perfect ad in partnership with Heinz where a man arrives at his holiday destination only to realise his belongings are nowhere to be found. The rest of his trip? Pure misery and all over a can (or a few) of beans.

How much do you love beans?

Honourable mention…

Chicken Run red carpet

It may not have made our top three, but it deserved a mention. Bab’s iconic red-carpet appearance at the BFI Film Festival for the showing of Chicken Run: Dawn of the nugget has stuck with us since October.

A truly iconic chicken
